How do I get access to newsletter-exclusive bonus scenes?

You need to be a newsletter subscriber to access my newsletter-exclusive bonus scenes and short stories. If you’re already a subscriber, you can find them here: https://books.bookfunnel.com/AJNewsletter

Will there be a special edition Kickstarter for A Rake of His Own?

Yes! The kickstarter for A Rake of His Own will run later in 2026. You can follow the prelaunch page HERE to make sure you don’t miss the launch.

What does your publishing deal with Tor UK mean for the books?

I’ve put together an explanation here: https://ajlancaster.com/2026/04/06/big-news-im-going-trad/

Where can I get the novella How to Marry a Winged King?

The ebook will be releasing in late 2026.

Will there be more Stariel books?

Maybe. At this point I consider the series complete, but there are characters I would consider returning to if my brain comes up with an idea for a story.

What project are you currently working on?

It’s a secret! I have found it’s best for my creative process to keep my plans close to my chest until they are fairly fully formed. Undoubtedly you can expect more romantic fantasy from me, because that’s how I roll. The best way to keep track of my releases is to join my mailing list.

Why is there a different narrator for The King of Faerie?

The audiobooks for Stariel are produced by Podium, not me.

Stariel 1-3 are narrated by the hugely talented Finty Williams. I am told that there was unfortunately a scheduling conflict when it came time to record The King of Faerie, which is why the final book in Hetta and Wyn’s quartet has a different narrator. I know it’s disappointing to change narrators for the last book, but I hope you’ll still give it a chance!

Book 5, A Rake of His Own, has a male narrator, the golden-voiced Nicholas Boulton, as it is wholly from a male POV and works a standalone.

Where can I get signed books?

I attend occasional events, mainly in New Zealand, where you can get a book signed by me in person.

Otherwise, the only current way to get a signed book internationally is through one of my Kickstarters.

If you are a bookstore that would like me to sign books or send you signed bookplates, get in touch and we’ll work something out!
