How do I get access to newsletter-exclusive bonus scenes?
You need to be a newsletter subscriber to access my newsletter-exclusive bonus scenes and short stories. If you’re already a subscriber, you can find them here: https://books.bookfunnel.com/AJNewsletter
Will there be an audiobook of How to Find a Nameless Fae?
Yes – I don’t know the release date yet, but the contract has been signed!
Where can I get the novella How to Marry a Winged King?
This companion novella was available as a pre-order bonus for How to Find a Nameless Fae. If that’s you, you can fill out THIS FORM with your receipt to claim your copy.
Otherwise, this novella is not currently available but I do plan to publish it for sale at some point later this year.
Will there be more Stariel books?
Possibly, although I can neither confirm nor deny exactly what or when yet.
What will your next project be?
Undoubtedly you can expect more romantic fantasy from me, because that’s how I roll. I like to keep my plans close to my chest until they are more fully formed. The best way to keep track of my releases is to join my mailing list.
Is there a fan community I can join?
Yes! There is a community-run (i.e. not by me) Stariel subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Stariel/
Go forth and espouse wild theories and crackships to your heart’s content!
Why is there a different narrator for the audiobook of Book 4?
The audiobooks for Stariel are produced by Podium, not me.
Stariel 1-3 are narrated by the hugely talented Finty Williams. I am told that there was unfortunately a scheduling conflict when it came time to record The King of Faerie, which is why the final book in Hetta and Wyn’s quartet has a different narrator. I know it’s a shame to change narrators for the last book, but I hope you’ll still give it a chance!
Book 5, A Rake of His Own, has a male narrator, the golden-voiced Nicholas Boulton, as it is wholly from a male POV and works a standalone.
I am in New Zealand – where can I buy a paperback?
If you are an individual wanting a copy, Bruce Mckenzie Books in Palmerston North stocks my books (and they sell online!). If they’re out of stock of a title you want, let us know. You can also ask your local bookstore to order a copy for you, check out your local library, or check out this post for a list of online retailers.
(If you are a bookstore wishing to stock my books – please email me directly.)
Are there hardbacks of Stariel available?
Currently, no, but one day I’ll get round to it, I’m sure!
What kind of books do you like to read?
I read mainly fantasy and romance, though I like other genres too. My favourite authors include Terry Pratchett, Tamora Pierce, Mercedes Lackey, Georgette Heyer, Brandon Sanderson, and Naomi Novik.
Where do you hang out on the internet?
Instagram is where you’re most likely to find me posting pictures of pretty books, coffee, and my cats. I also have a Tiktok and a Facebook page you can follow. If you want to get in touch, send me a message on any of those platforms, or shoot me an email to aj AT ajlancaster DOT com
